Find out how to manage rights on Melba

Melba allows user rights to be managed thoroughly. You can control every step taken on the app and create specific roles that reflect each person's responsibilities.

User roles on Melba

Roles consist of rights that reflect the different accessibilities on the interface or via API .

A newly created account contains three default roles:

  • Administrator: has all the rights. The role cannot be deleted and at least one administrator is required per account. The last administrator user can therefore not be deleted.
  • User: has all the rights except those dedicated to user and subscription management.
  • Guest: has no rights = can only view.

Create roles for users

On Melba, you can create new roles for users.

To create a new role, go to the section reserved for users, and navigate to the correct screen from the drop-down menu at the top left.

You can click on the plus at the bottom right to create a new role, examples:

  • Thrifty role: can only have access relating to purchases.
  • Leader role: can only do production and recipe roles.
  • Manager role: it's up to you to define its content by restricting certain rights compared to the administrator role!

To configure a role, you must activate / deactivate user rights.

To activate a right, click on the slider displayed to the right of its title.

Associate roles with users

To associate roles with users, go to the list of users.

From this list, all you have to do is click on the drop-down menu of a user present in the role column and change it to another pre-existing role.
